Mas Sejemput
Mas Sejemput shares the same recipe as Jala Mas but cooked differently and is shaped into a dome-like three-pointed star. The egg yolk mixture is spooned onto a flat pan to form little pancakes of no more than two to three centimetres in diameter. Once it is cooked, which takes only a minute or so, it is then taken off the heat and using all five fingers, the pancake (before it is cooled!) is pinched at the sides and pulled up to form its shape, a technique called “sejemput”, thus giving the dessert its name.
