Lompat Tikam

Made from coconut milk and rice flour, and pandan leaves, it consists of two layers with the base in green (coloured by the pandan leaves) and the top layer in white. Served with a sauce made from gula Melaka or manisan (sugar from coconut tree), this is a popular dessert in the East Coast states. The name is literally translated as “jump and stab”. No idea how it got its name!
